VoteVets doesn’t pull punches and this is a very potent ad. It looks like it would scale well to other states as well, meaning that Senators who voted with George Allen (of macaca fame) could see the same ad running in their states for pennies on the production dollar.

The state Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that the government can keep and destroy more than 500 CDs taken from Michael Cohen, owner of Pitchfork Records in Concord, in 2003 even though the state failed to prove that a single disk was illegal. Cops, which are there for the purpose of protecting our rights and property, are the ones legally stealing.

The Eighth Circuit Appeals Court recently ruled that police may seize cash from motorists, citing that “possession of a large sum of cash is “strong evidence” of a connection to drug activity.” Gonzales was never charged with any crime, but his cash was stolen by police anyway.

Former U.S. president Jimmy Carter said the Iraq invasion had subverted the fight against terrorism and instead strengthened al-Qaeda and the recruitment of terrorists. In an exclusive interview with The Sunday Telegraph newspaper, Carter said that if he had still been president, he would never have considered invading Iraq in 2003.

Well, I had not. I just happened to see a movie on the ‘net called “Loose Change II” and started to research the whole 9/11 conspiracy out there – some of that show rang true to me, but not as much as I would have thought had it been genuine. Well, after looking at a few sites I finally know what it is, and it IS disconcerting if it’s true … the key word being “IF” … now, what about 9/11 … think it was sorta like Pearl Harbor? LONG story, but it’s been B U S Y here in southwestern Texas. Had some meetings, had some other meetings, and did some work. Otherwise, all is going very well. The little lady is indeed moving down in two weeks, which rocks! It’s been quite a long time coming too I might add. Argh.
So, rant time a bit — did you know that the terrorists / Iraqi combatants have VIDEOS of their supposed “elite” sniper taking out our guys? It’s sick. I saw a couple of them, and all I can think of when I see that is some mother losing her son back home for … what? Not WMDs … not terrorism (bin Laden is still on the loose, Saddam wasn’t linked to it, yadda yadda) … I’m just getting to a point that this country looks like it is going to fail because we haven’t had good leadership in the presidentcy since Reagan, and it shows. How sad this is to watch the nation wither and for around half of the US is too stupid to even realize it. I guess we’ll just have to wait for us to hit rock bottom and then try to rebuild as best we can — although moving to a more enlightened country such as Norway or Sweden is a very tempting choice heh. Blah. Stupid two-party system and professional politicians … sucks that the highest positions in the country are bought and sold instead of anything else presently. blah, this country needs an enema.
