Sooooooo, is anyone watching the Winter Olympics?

I am following it but not watching it … I LIKE the Winter sports better just because the US isn’t so dominant as we are in the Summer games, but alot of the Winter events are just … not really my cup o’ tea as an American, ya know?
We did get the 5000m gold. THAT is cool at least!

The winter olympics are unwatchable. It’s an event that appeals to a niche market for the most part…or at least anyone above the Mason-Dixon line. Damn, I wish they were over.

I looked too, I hadn’t really “watched” it. I like the Biathlon myself, having been raised since the age of nine as a precision shooter. Not much snow where I grew up but plenty of places where pistol and rifle competitions took place, usually between Army, Navy and Civilian marksmen/women. I still have an original German-made Anschutz .22 caliber rifle, just like the Olympic competitors use. Just no place left to go shotting, with all the ranges now closed, due to urban sprawl. ;-(
The snowboarding and ice skating were pretty good, got to see some of that. It all seems to be way too commercialized these days, just like everything else.Pretty boring for the most part.
